 Vanessa Quang

The road towards opening a gallery was neither straight nor direct.  I began my career in public works programming, followed by business consulting, after which I created a real estate website.  It wasn't until 2000, however, that I realized that opening a contemporary art gallery would by my greatest adventure.

Today's media--video, interactive installations, etc--form an integral part of the gallery's artistic agenda, alongside more traditional media such as painting, drawing, sculpture and photography.  The artists I represent are emerging multi-disciplinary artists with roots in France and abroad.

 Victor de Bonnecaze - Director

After finishing his studies in art history in Paris and San Francisco, Victor de Bonnecaze joined the Vanessa Quang Gallery in 2006.  Victor has worked as Director of the Vanessa Quang Gallery since its move to the Marais. He is also the general coordinator of the contemporary art fair Showoff, which takes place in Paris every October.

 Marie Richard - Assistant

Marie Richard holds a Masters in conservation and restoration of artworks and contemporary art history from the University of Lyon-Lumière.  After a year working as an assistant at Moti Hasson Gallery in Chelsea, NYC, Marie handles at the gallery administrative matters, storage of artworks and reserves.  She is also a painter.

  Ximena Vengoechea - Assistant

At the gallery, Ximena is in charge of translations, press, the gallery website, and coordination with the gallery's artists in organizing exhibits.  The Harvard grad plans to ultimately cull from her experience at the gallery for her future doctorate, which will cover questions of space and viewership in galleries and public spaces.

The gallery's assistants are a valuable part of our team.  They work directly with our artists and help diffuse information on exhibits to visitors as well.
